V.I.K. Face Painting was established in Gippsland in 1996. Dianne Duncan, a single mum at the time, saw a need for entertainment of this kind at children’s parties and public events. With a hospitality background Dianne’s original idea was to help mums with all the hustle and bustle of children’s parties. Needing something a little extra, Dianne became a self taught professional face painter.

The business of VIK Face Painting (Very Important Kids) grew from there. Dianne now employs family and friends including daughter Sam for not only children’s events, also adult events. There has been a diverse range of age groups over the years from newborns to an 84 year old Collingwood supporter.

The face painting became so successful that the mums no longer got the help they so deserved with the party, Dianne was now too busy face painting (and some body art; arms legs, bellies). The business has grown so much since then due to excellent customer service and affordable prices.

Dianne says; “I wish I had known how much fun face painting was earlier so then I could have been making events more memorable sooner”
